I want to send out a prayer request for a fellow blogger, Marsha. She lost her 3 year old son, Dozer, in a tragic accident. He went missing and they later found him in their pond. I can't even imagine the grief and heartache she must be feeling right now. Please lift her, her husband, Dozer's two brothers and the rest of Dozer's family up in prayer. You can read more about it here.
A nice tribute was made in Dozer's honor at the Heart of the Matter Online.

A post!

Hmmm....maybe I should actually write a post again. Life here has been a little bit nuts. Our landlord has been trying to sell the house we live in. He's had it on the market for about three weeks and it's had about 6-7 showings already. He's also had a couple here re-glazing and painting all the windows- there are 28 windows on this house. It took them allot longer then they had expected. They just finished yesterday. Tim and I also have been trying to decided what to do about a new home for us. I think we've decided to buy. We'll see if we actually do. We have already been pre-approved and signed a whole bunch of paperwork at the bank. So at least we don't have to worry about everything on that end of things. We just have one thing to take care of and then we'll be setting up appointments to look at homes. Hopefully we'll be doing that by this weekend or early next week. Then things will really get crazy- we hope to move by the end of next month or at least by October. We'd like to move before the cold weather hits. Also- I've started school with my boys. Jonathan is in first and Austin is doing K4 work. They are doing excellent and I really like the curriculum I chose for them this year. So much better than last year. They are already learning cursive and you know what? They are pretty good at it too- who would've known? I'm really enjoying teaching them so far. It's been a joy! Different curriculum really does make a HUGE difference! Anyway, I've gotta go since I have my shower to take and boys to school!

Happy 'belated' Birthday Austin!

I forgot to post last week about Austin's 4th birthday! He turned 4 last Wednesday and so we all had fun at Chuck E Cheese's. It was a crazy week so I felt terrible about not doing more for him. He's young though and I don't think he ever felt jipped. He had a wonderful birthday according to him. I love this little guy. He is such a charmer. He is a delight to everyone that meets him. I am looking forward to many more years with my sweet boy. I'll try to post his birth story next week. Here's a picture of Austin on his big day. You only turn 4 once you know! ;)

I'd like to point out that I had bought that cake for Austin and Austin alone. Someone (actual name withheld to protect privacy) insisted...err... mentioned that we couldn't let the other children go without having a piece. I disagreed, it was Austin's birthday so therefor the other kids could sit and watch in envy as he ate his cake (I didn't have time to make a large cake). I mean, you don't give presents to everyone at a party. No, the one whose birthday you're celebrating gets the presents. You don't ask him for his presents now do you? Ya, I didn't think so. Plus, this poor kid didn't even get any presents on his birthday! He waited until Saturday and then he went to the store with me and picked out what he wanted. Not quite the same, huh? Anyway, that someone won (like always...) and all the kids (all 7 of them) split that little cake. I felt Austin was seriously jipped! Yes, that someone will read this and no, I don't care. Yes, I'm still upset about it (notice I didn't say about someone...I said it...the situation). Does Austin care? I do. Next year my friends, he is getting a little cake all to himself and that's that! I don't care who doesn't like it! ;) What are your opinions? (Love ya know who you are)

Wordless wednesday...

My sister and her children stayed with me for a week last week. Hence, my lack of blogging. I also watched Luke until Wednesday. So we had 8 children in my house for three days. It was...uhm...interesting? We had fun. Anyway, my life has been nuts and I haven't had the time to blog. I'll get back to it eventually but for now, I leave you with this. It was taken to our trip to the zoo. Noah isn't in it because I left him with my mother-in-law for the day. This is two of my children and all of my sisters 4 children. The kids had fun...the moms? Well...

Yes, I'm here...

...and way too busy to blog! It's driving me crazy! We have VBS (Vacation Bible School) at church all week (I'm helping), my sister is coming over (with her four kids) and I'm watching Luke again. Plus, our landlord decided he wanted to sell the house we're living in. Which is good, since Tim and I had wanted to get out of our lease early so we could find something closer to Tim's job. Now we don't have to worry about that. God already took care of it- our landlord doesn't care when we leave. ;) Tim and I are now busy making some decisions about housing. I'll keep you updated on our progress. My mom is going to be here anytime now so unfortunately I don't have any more time to blog. I'll try to get back here sometime this week...maybe during naptime. I leave you with this:

(What's he looking at?)
