First of all- take my poll! I need the help. ;) Also- I was also playing around with my camera today and discovered a few cool little things so I decided to post a few of the pictures I took today. Excuse some of the lighting. I would've edited some of them but my editing program is on our 'other' very, sick PC. =( I really miss that prgram too! I'd install it on the laptop I'm using but I can't seem to find the cd. It must've gotten lost in the move. I'm hoping it'll show up soon. Anyway, take a look and let me know what you think. I'll keep playing with my camera and I'll keep posting pictures. I should really take a photography class...it'd make understanding my camera a little bit easier...
My beautiful Austin...
My oldest...so incredibly handsome and so eager to be mommy's model.
Baby seems to be growing! The big news this week is....I felt baby flip flops! I have felt little 'sensations' for a few weeks now but this week I know for sure that I'm feeling definite baby movements. It's so much fun! Also- my belly is getting harder. Not squishy anymore. All you ladies who have been pregnant before should know what I'm talking about. Also- I scheduled a doctors appointment! My first appointment will be November 7th (insurance starts the 1st). I will be getting an ultrasound also. I'll be almost 16 weeks by then and I'm hoping I'll get a little glimpse between his/her legs. Maybe I'll get some idea of who's squirming around inside me. ;)We'll see...if not I'm sure I can handle waiting another month (after the first ultrasound) to find out. Anyway...here's my picture for this week. Hope you enjoy and throw a few baby girl names at me. I need help! If we're having a girl we're in trouble. We can't think of any girl names!! The boy's name is taken care of (will be revealed once we know what we're having)- so no need for help there. We like names that are slightly uncommon but not strange or eyebrow raising. Also- we will probably use Nichole or Marie for the middle name. So anything that goes along with those names will definitely be considered! Thanks for your help- I'll post my favorites!
I got this from 4 Little Men and thought I'd do it too. Join in and do it too- I'd love to read yours!
1. Where is your cell phone? On my hubby's pillow in our bedroom. Jonathan brought to me this morning while I was still sleeping (just because!). 2. Where is your significant other? at work. =( 3. Your hair color? Light blond and dark blond. Uhem...I need to get it re-dyed. It's pretty bad. 4. Your mother? Debra- she's the greatest grandma ever! 5.Your father? Dan- he is not with us anymore. He passed away from ALS 10 years ago this past spring (I was 14). 6. Your favorite thing? The smell of my kids and husband. May sound strange to some of you but it's not to me. Have you ever noticed everyone has a distinct smell? Tim and the boys have the most wonderful smell! 7. Your dream last night? Something to do with being in my old house growing up (the one my father passed away in). I think my mom and stepfather had moved back into it or something like that. I dream every night- it really gets pretty tiring. 8. Your dream/goal? To see my boys become strong, godly men. Also- to become a certified nurse midwife. 9. The room you're in? The lower level/Tim's media room/computer area. 10. Your hobby? Sewing, movie watching (with the hubs) and bargain hunting. 11. Your fear? Someone hurting one of my boys or the death of one of them. 12. Where do you want to be in six years? About where I am. Just hopefully allot more mature (in all areas!). 13. Where were you last night? Getting movies at the video store and then chilling with Tim. It was nice. 14. What you’re not? Pro-choice. (sorry if I offended anyone...) 15. One of your wish list items? A bedroom set. 16. Where you grew up? Illinois 17. The last thing you did? ate a bagel and orange (for breakfast.) 18. What are you wearing? Team Cf (cystic fibrosis) shirt and capri pajama pants (so comfy- but I need to get a shower) 19. Your TV? 52" plasma (Tim's!) strictly used for movies. 20. Your pet? None. 21. Your computer? At the computer genius'- using an old laptop right now (I detest this thing!). 22. Your mood? Pretty good. 23. Missing someone? I kind of miss my husband already (yes, I'm that pathetic!). 24. Your car? Chevrolet Suburban. 25. Something you’re not wearing? Socks. 26. Favorite store? Gordmans. 27. Your summer? Flew by! 28. Love someone? Allot of people. 29. Your favorite color? Pink 30. When is the last time you laughed? I think yesterday- either at something Tim or one of the boys did (they're pretty funny guys). 31. Last time you cried? This morning while watching a You Tube video- I'm pretty emotional these days. Stupid pregnancy hormones.
Just some updates on 3 of my 4 boys. They're growing up so fast!
My baby (for not too much longer), Noah. He's 2 already and into everything. What a walking tornado this boy is! I thought my first two were into everything. Well, they can't even compare to Noah! He is the champion destroyer, drooler and pooper. He has a very eccentric and unique personality. What a sweet, sweet boy he is though! He is also Tim's little 'mini' me. He's Tim's little clone- in looks. Personality is a different thing entirely. And boy, does this kid have personality! He does love to help his momma though. He loves to 'queen' and 'help' me out around the house. He is also a excellent sleeper! He never complains when we put him to bed and has yet to attempt getting out of his bed (he's out of a crib). Oh, and he loves his sippy cup! No blanket, thumb or stuffed animal for this boy- a sippy cup is all it takes to make him happy! Sometimes he doesn't even need anything in it- he'll suck on it empty. What a silly boy! (Yes, this is the best shot I could get of him. He refuses to stop what he's doing to get his picture taken!)
(This is just a small glimpse into Noah's naughtiness. No, this was not a spill. I guess he just felt like doing it because, well, because he's Noah!)
Okay, first of all- doesn't that smile just melt your heart? I know it does mine. My Austin...what a beautiful gift God gave me when he gave us our Austin. I feel so privileged to be Austin's mother. Austin is now 4 and very proud of it too. ;) He has been having a great year in K-4 so far. He knows all his colors, is learning to count beautifully and even knows some sounds to letters. His personality is mostly laid back but he does have his 'moments'. He is a HUGE perfectionist. Almost a little OCD. He has to have certain kinds of silverware (no flowers, please!), wear his socks a certain way, tuck his shirt in (like daddy!), have his sandwich cut an exact way, ect. If everything is just so than he is a happy, content little man. If not though, watch out! The tears will start to flow and sometimes it can take a while to figure out exactly 'what' he wants. Overall though he is a joy to be around. He loves to please and charm people. He also insists that the 'baby' is a girl. He keeps asking when the little girl will be born. It's really very sweet. We'll see if he gets his wish...
Here's a recent picture of Jonathan. I can't believe my first born is already six! Where has the time gone? He is doing excellent this year in school (first grade already!). Just this past week he has really taken off in reading. He begs me now to do reading first. I'm super excited about this huge milestone in his life. I thought for sure he still wouldn't be reading when he got married. He's proved me wrong and I couldn't be happier. That's my boy! He is so super stubborn and head strong. A true leader. He is totally opposite of both Tim and I. He takes after his Grandpa (Tim's dad). He would be happiest if everyone would answer to him and him alone. Sometimes he and I butt heads (big time!) but I know God has made him with such a strong personality for a reason. I know He has big plans in store for Jonathan. (Maybe a future President?!) He has so much self-confidence it amazes me. Not a shy (or humble) bone in his body! Jonathan has recently been asking about sin, God and salvation. I'm praying that he will soon make the most important decision of his life and repent of his sins and become a new creature in Christ. I feel he is getting SO close. Keep praying for him... I'm hoping I'll have some news soon!
The family room, media room or entertainment room. Whatever you wish to call it. This is the room where we hang out at night, lounge in our reclining sofa and watch movies on Tim's new plasma (hey, he bought me a house I thought he should get something he wants too!).
Another shot of the 'media' room. This room isn't even close to being done yet. I still need to buy pictures for the walls and organize that shelf. We still enjoy kicking back and relaxing here in the evenings though. =)
Our computer area. This is one area of our home that needs to be orgnaized still. I'll get to it soon. Really, I will. Also, can you guess who's blog I was reading? ;)
Our living room. I love this room! Tim calls it my 'pretty' room- where the ladies can meet when we have people over. The guy's will meet in the media room a.k.a. Tim's room. Anyway, I love it. I think it's a little 'frilly' for Tim's taste though...
Another shot of the living room. I have to do something with that wonderful ledge I have. Have any ideas?
Another view of the lving room. This one turned out kind of dark but you get the idea, right?
My kitchen. I love my kitchen. It's so bright and cheerful in the morning! I also love the deck going off of the sliding glass doors. One thing I don't care for is the weird light above our table. Tim and I made a trip to Lowes last night and bought a new light to replace it's ugliness. Maybe Tim will have time tonight to put it up. We'll see. ;)
My favorite part of my kitchen- the undermount sink! It's so handy. I also really enjoy the reverse osmosis system we have. It's wonderful not having to buy bottled water anymore. Oh, and I enjoy the granite counter tops (I've always wanted granite countertops!) too. My sister was over and said they reminded her of chocolate chip cookie dough. I'd have to say I agree...yum!
One of our two bathrooms. Have I mentioned that I haven't painted a single wall? The strange thing about that is that I love all the colors! Minus one room- it's hot pink! Maybe that's a sign though...hmm....
I really love our new home. God has truly blessed us. I feel like pinching myself every morning when I wake up and find myself in such a beautiful dwelling and it's ours- we 'own' it. We're homeowners! It's just so amazing how God worked every little detail out. Buying a house really isn't all to hard when you let God do the work. Seriously. Everything went so smooth. I don't think I've mentioned this before but the house we ended up buying was a house I had seen online about 6-7 months ago and I had fallen in love with it. At that time though we had no way of buying a house and the price was out of our price range. I really thought nothing else of the house, because frankly, I knew it was an unrealistic dream. I had no way of knowing that Tim would find a new job, more than double his income (we were pretty poor before...) and the house I had dreamed of would sit on the market for more than six months and the 'previous' owners would drop their price considerably and it would become vacant (making it possible for us to move into it quickly). I also didn't know that our landlord would decided to sell the house we were renting (allowing us to get out of our lease early) and Tim would sell machinery in a matter of a week (it had been for sale for over two years)- giving us a good sized down payment. All of this could not have been done if it were not for God. I do not write all this to brag. I am simply writing this to make you all aware of my gratefulness of God's goodness to us. I'm also writing this to let you all know that we would not have this house if it wasn't for God. God really does give you the desires of your heart- if you're patient. (Tim and I have been married for 7 years and have just now become first time homebuyers.)
Also to come- the playroom, second bathroom, sewing room and bedrooms.
Unfortunately, though I don't have the time to write a post. I'll try to get some pictures of our new house up this week, so keep checking. We are almost completely upacked and I am totally loving our new, beautiful home- God is so good! For now I'll leave you a picture of my ever, expanding ,baby bump. This was taken when I was 11 weeks to the day- almost a week ago. Yep, my belly grows fast! I still haven't gone to the doctor because of insurance issues. I'm hoping I can go the beginning of next month. Pray I'll be able to find the right doctor. (Yes, the picture quality is poor but our PC is at the 'computer doctor' and my editing program isn't installed on the computer we're using- sorry!)
This is Cassandra, Sarah's sister. She asked me to update everyone on her situation, as she has no internet connection right now! They all moved into their house last week, and she is busy unpacking and trying to get settled in. Poor thing. I know she is tired from pregnancy and the stress of moving! Their new house is beautiful, and she feels so blessed, but moving is always stressful! (I'm moving in five weeks, and as excited as I am to be, I am still dreading the actual moving part!) She will be back on here as soon as they get their internet up and running. It should be sometime next week. She just wanted everyone to know that they didn't drop off the face of the earth! (even though it's pretty close- I mean, no internet for two weeks? Sheesh!) Until then....
