Nursing cover-ups and other things.

I bought some fabric last night to make some nursing cover-ups. I can't wait to put them together today! I have enough material for about four. I didn't want to make too many just in case they didn't sell or I didn't care for how they turned out. I'm going to try and make one for myself too. =) I've really needed one and I can't believe I haven't gotten one made for myself yet. Let me know if you want one. I think I'm going to charge $20 (cost of shipping included) for one. Covers being sold on the Internet are going for about $32-$35. I'll be sure to take a picture of the ones I make! Remember that I'll always take more orders for bags too!

I started school with the boys this week. So far it's going pretty well. I can't believe how well Jonathan's doing with his reading! I'm so proud of him! I've also started Austin with some kindergarten work. My goal is to teach him to read this year and some basic math (counting to 100 and some addition). If I accomplish that than I'll be satisfied. Each year that goes by I enjoy homeschooling my children more. The first year was tough, the second year was still hard but not near as bad and this year I actually enjoy sitting with them for several hours and doing their school with them. Jonathan seems less frustrated since his reading has improved. This helps with my stress level immensely. I'm hoping and praying each year just gets better and better!

Grant has a tooth starting to peak through! I thought maybe he was starting to cut one because he's been drooling, has had a runny nose and was/is chewing on everything! He also had a low grade temp so I knew it wouldn't be long. Sure enough, yesterday morning I found a little, white tooth poking it's way through! =) Seriously- how is he old enough to be getting teeth already?! It's just not right. He needs to stop growing and changing so quickly! Plus, it just might cause me to get baby fever again! Okay...not really but maybe in another year or two. ;-)

I'm going to be cleaning out the house this week and next in preparation for a garage sale my sister and I are going to have. I have so much stuff laying around that I need to get rid of some of it. Might as well turn it into cash. ;-) I'm planning on selling my cloth diapers, allot of boys clothes, some of my homemade bags, nursing covers and allot of maternity clothing. It should be a big garage sale between what I have and what my sister has. If you're in the area- stop by! We'll be having it next Friday and Saturday (21st and 22nd).

So now you'll know if I haven't blogged why I haven't. Life just happens sometimes. =)

You are a busy woman! I am not sure how you do it all! :) When I find out what baby #3 is, next week, I might be contacting you about one of those covers! I've always wanted a really nice one; I usually just use a blanket.

Love the new header- not sure how new it is, but this is the first time I've noticed it! :)

When you do post 'em, I think I'll have to send my sister over to your blog; she might be interested! She's having her second baby in October.

I can't believe he's already teething!

I am sure your covers will be awesome. You are definatley gifted with the ability to sew!

If you get chance, I would love for you to share a little on what curriculum you use. I always love hearing what mothers like or don't like that is out there for homeschooling. It is a plus to hear the pros and cons of any program. You could join in Darcy's blog hop at Life with 3 boybarians :)

What are nursing covers? Do you have a picture?

I just stumbled onto your blog and we have almost the same family! My oldest is 6, then a 4 1/2 year old, a 20 month old and I'm due in a month with boy #4. And we're both in WI, too. How fun! I'll be back for sure...
